The VeriSite® patient labeling system is an innovative, economical and proactive system that helps identify and confirm that surgery is performed on the correct body part, while significantly reducing the risk of liability for your surgical team and facility.

The system is comprised of two distinct latex-free labels with an adhesive backing approved for use on skin. The first is the green VeriSite label that augments and enhances the JCAHO "Sign Your Site" protocol. The VeriSite label is completed with pertinent information about the patient and procedure. It is then placed adjacent to the surgeon's "Sign Your Site" indelible mark on the part of the body intended for surgery. The second is the red SurgiGuard label that is affixed to the contralateral unintended site(s).

Each patient label has a unique control number and a corresponding document label that is affixed to the patient's chart. Labels are available in various sizes and configurations to conform to every surgical situation.
