Colby Manufacturing Introduces the WaterBoom Quiet Floor Suction Strip Designed to Reduce Fluid Waste from OR Floors

TULLYTOWN, Pa - Colby Manufacturing, Inc., a provider of healthcare worker and patient safety products, today announced the offering of a new product designed to protect selected areas of operating room floors from fluid waste released during surgical procedures.

The WaterBoom™ Quiet Floor Suction Strip is an unobtrusive device that can be placed anywhere on operating room floors to control waste fluid generated during wet procedures. By creating a dam, the WaterBoom™ holds back and contains fluid with a quiet suction element that is capable of disposing an unlimited amount of waste fluid.

Using the WaterBoom™ can help reduce the likelihood of injuries associated with wet floors. In addition, it helps protect healthcare professionals and housekeeping personnel from contact with contaminated substances and aids in efforts to comply with OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard.

The WaterBoom's design is low profile and includes 12 feet of flexible tubing which is attached to the side, reducing trip hazards. The tubing can be stepped on or rolled over without causing a loss of suction. In addition, the WaterBoom™ offers 32 inches of suction capability in a unique conforming design that conforms to any operating room floor.
